Had a day at home today.  It was fabulous not to get up to the alarm.  Spent a little time and came up with this card.  I think the Fiskars Egg punch is fun.  The second picture is the inside.

The fun thing with this card was finding the buttons and ribbon.  I found it in my stash of vintage stuff I kept from when my Mom cleaned out her house.  I guess "What goes around, comes around," works for card stuff too!!

Easter/Spring cards

Today I am finally posting some cards I made on Sunday.  I love the Easter one.  It was SO easy.  Even though it appears to be just your regular secular Easter card, it is not.  Check out the inside.  Easter is not about bunnies, chicks and eggs even though they are so fun!  It's really about Jesus, the one who suffered and died, and returned to life to reconcile us to God.

Birthday Cards and Invites

Some new cards I worked on this week.  The first one was a little boy's birthday invitation.  He loves cars, so I decided on the old corvette.  It just looked a little plain, so I added the road signs.  My friend loved them. 

The second and third cards were so much fun to make.  I had been waiting since before Valentine's Day to get the Quickutz Nesting Flowers.  I went to Archiever's and got the pop-up flower border the last Thursday in January.  Asked my DH to buy the Quickutz Nesting Flowers the next week to "surprise" me for Valentine's.  He did - but they were out.  He is so sweet about these things.  So, as you fellow card makers know, I was one the hunt.  Looked and looked, called stores.  No one had them in stock.  All backordered.  SO frustrating.  

But, amazingly, the Scrapbook Page (local, home-owned, KC store) finally had them this week.  And for GREAT prices!!  Wow!

So, the first one was just for fun.  I made the second card for my little niece's birthday.  I have a shot of the inside too.   Hope you enjoy all of them.

Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my new blog.  I decided to start a blog to communicate with other card makers.  I have been making cards for over 15 years.  It is my creative, stress-reducer.  Some people in my life, namely my DH, consider it somewhat of an obsession, and it is.  Better than some obsessions, right?  So I plan to occasionally put one of my creations on this blog and chat with other creative card makers.  Thanks for stopping by.
